Hello World

Well, I have finally done it and created my first truly anonymous blog. Constance the First's tag line really struck a cord with me since I have abandoned no less than three separate blogs because my crazy relatives just won't leave me alone. I nearly did a dance of joy at my desk when I discovered Constance the Firsts blog. What a great idea! A whole community  of anonymous bloggers, where you can vent and cry or be happy as you please. It's like an on-line therapy session.

I had with the last few weeks given up completely on blogging to the point where I actually deleted my entire account. This was due to hazing, although this time (surprisingly) not by my family. I became a random target of some very bitter, violent & vocal people of a forum group. They scared me, and badly. Especially when I realized just how much information about me you could find on the Internet if you tried. The blog was deleted and I despaired on ever having a place where I could express myself with honesty and safety again.

But this, I think, will work nicely. So, on ward I go, off into the world wide web. All I ask is that you treat me with courtesy. You do not need to agree with me or like me or even respect me but please just don't be rude.  I promise to do the same for you.

Cheers!

Back to say: I just got a bunch of comments by what I assume was a group such as you describe (this group was anti-f.0.r.m.u.1.a., calling it "b.@.b.y. p.0.i.s.0.n.i.n.g."). They started comment-bombing, leaving the same comment again and again, each time copied many times over---so that, for example, the same comment would be repeated 30 times but all in one comment, and then that 30-comment-length comment left again and again, if you see what I mean, and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't because that's not very clear.

Anyway, I had to turn off anonymous commenting, and then they just opened anonymous Blogger accounts and kept going. I finally handled it in a way that made them stop, but I was pretty nervous there for an evening---and I don't know what I can do if it happens again. What is WITH some people?

That does sound very similar to the group that attacked me only on a totally different subject. It really scared me! I had l these total strangers actually telling me that they hoped I died for my wrong opinion (ie not theirs) & who were claiming they were from my town, which had me thinking they could find out where I lived.

I eventually ended up closing and deleting my entire account and opening a new one to get rid of them. I just don't understand what makes groups like that believe that harassing people is going to help their cause.

I hate rude comments.

Glad you're here!

WTH is wrong with people? I actually wrote some house rules for my constance blog. I wish I could post it on my regular blog.
